Research

We support and conduct social-ecological research on ecosystem processes within living landscapes across southern Africa. Our interdisciplinary research examines the interactions between ecological processes and human activities. By integrating ecological science with social perspectives, our work strengthens understanding of ecosystem functioning, resilience, and long-term sustainability across diverse environments in the region.

Training

We offer practical, hands-on training that equips students and conservation practitioners with essential skills in field-based ecology, social research methods, and applied statistical analysis. Our programmes strengthen scientific capacity and support evidence-based conservation planning, decision-making, and long-term environmental management.
